Our 4th Annual Clean Up was a success!
First, we want to thank everyone who participated in our Rotary Row/Greatlakes Watershed Clean Up.
Fortunately, we had a mostly rain-free window of time plus perfect temperatures to get tasks completed.
We cleaned up our section of the trail from end to end, the West Side Rowing Club driveway and Rotary Park on the WSRC property.
Here are a few statistics on the day...
Participants:
- 5 Rotarians from our club
- 11 Friends and children of Rotarians (some past & potential Rotarians)
- 35 WSRC youth rowers
- 70 Total person hours on the day!!!
Garbage:
- 480lbs of litter (plastic, foam, paper, cardboard & misc. garbage)
- Approx. 1 ton of organic waste consisting of wood, sticks, rocks & brush removed
